Case Officer/Customer Advisor at the Swedish Pensions Agency in Visby

Do you want the opportunity to work with governmental authority and contribute to ensuring that pensioners receive the right benefits? We are now looking for a case officer/customer advisor for the Swedish Pensions Agency in Visby to work with housing supplements and elderly support.

  • Scope: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30, including a 30-minute lunch break.
  • Location: Visby.
  • Start date: April 22, 2025.
  • Duration: At least 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

This is a consulting assignment, which means you will be employed by us at Poolia but rented out to the Swedish Pensions Agency in Visby.

About the position

As a case officer, you will work with governmental authority by investigating, analyzing, and making decisions regarding housing supplements and elderly support. The role also includes contact with customers, authorities, and other organizations. You will be part of a warm, mixed workgroup of 15 people who are helpful and work closely together to create a supportive and efficient work environment.

As a case officer, you will ensure that customers receive a fair and factual assessment in each individual case as well as a professional response.

You will receive thorough training through internal education in the Swedish Pensions Agency's systems and working methods at the start. You will also be assigned a mentor who will support and guide you during the initial period. It may also be relevant to respond to customer inquiries via phone and email.

Your main tasks

  • Investigate, review, and process cases.
  • Make and execute decisions according to applicable regulations.
  • Plan and follow up on cases.
  • Communicate with customers and partners.
  • Prepare decision-making materials and analyze work processes.
  • Inform customers about digital services.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Post-secondary education, such as a university degree or other courses deemed equivalent by the authority, in areas such as economics, law, communication, social and behavioral sciences, social work, or pedagogy.
  • At least 6 months of experience in similar work, for example, customer service via phone and email or case processing and decision-making according to regulations.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office or equivalent.
  • Very good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

Meritorious:

  • Experience in governmental authority and decision-making in cases.
  • Knowledge of additional languages.

You are self-sufficient and confident in making your own decisions, but at the same time a good team player who helps and bounces ideas with others when needed. Flexibility is important to adapt to changing tasks and keep the workflow efficient, while you have a structured and meticulous work method. You own your cases from start to finish, and you have a strong focus on legal security and making correct decisions. You meet both customers and colleagues with a professional and friendly demeanor and deliver high quality in your work.
